Shipping and delivery
Regional warehouses, one business day on stocked items, ground service, freight by written quote.
The timeline
- Day 0: you order. Payment is authorized and the order is routed to the warehouse closest to you that has the item.
- Day 1: stocked items are picked, packed and handed to the carrier. You get a tracking email.
- Days 2 to 5: ground transit, depending on distance. Tracking updates as the parcel moves.
- Delivery: parcel carriers leave most orders at the door. Regulated and high value items may require a signature.
Why orders ship from several places
We hold inventory in regional warehouses rather than in one building. An order gets split across the locations that can fill it fastest. Fewer zones crossed means shorter transit and less handling, which is also why damage is rare. A split shipment never increases what you pay.
Shipping cost
Parcel shipping is calculated at checkout from real weight, box size and destination, and shown in full before you pay. There is no separate handling fee added afterward.
Items that cannot go by air or to a post office box
Batteries, aerosols, paints, solvents, adhesives, compressed gas items and fuel system components that have held fuel are regulated for transport. They move by ground only, to a street address, and never to a post office box. Some cannot go to Alaska, Hawaii, or APO and FPO addresses at all.
If your order contains one of these and we only have a post office box on file, we email you for a street address before the order moves. Entering a street address at checkout avoids the delay entirely.
Freight and oversized items
Long bed covers, hard tops, RV appliances, tanks, steps, boat seating pedestals and similar items ship by freight truck. Every freight item is quoted individually for your address.
What the base quote covers
Curbside delivery at a ground level address during business hours, with you or someone you authorize present to receive it.
What costs extra
- Lift gate service, when there is no dock or forklift.
- Residential delivery.
- Inside delivery past the curb.
- Limited access locations such as farms, job sites, schools, marinas and storage facilities.
- Appointment scheduling and call ahead notification.
- Redelivery after a missed appointment.
Inspect before you sign
Walk around the pallet. Note any crushed corner, torn wrap or open carton on the delivery receipt, photograph it, and email us the same day. A clean signature on a damaged shipment limits the carrier claim and limits what we can replace.
Tracking and problems
Tracking arrives by email when the label prints and can take several hours to show movement. If tracking has not updated in three business days, email us and we open a carrier trace. Report a missing delivery or a damaged box within five days so the claim window stays open.
Changes and cancellations
Contact us as soon as you know. If the order has not been picked we change or cancel it free. Once it has shipped, it becomes a return.
