Who we are
Aura Lakes is an online retailer of automotive, truck, RV and marine parts and accessories, operated from Minnesota and shipping across the United States. This policy explains how we handle personal information on auralakes.com. It applies to this website and to the email and phone support attached to it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address when you place an order or create an account.
- Year, make, model and configuration when you use fitment tools or ask us a fitment question.
- Business name, tax identification and trade references when you apply to our business buying program.
- The content of emails, chats and phone calls with our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, operating system, screen size and language.
- Pages viewed, items viewed, search terms used on the site and the page that referred you.
- Internet protocol address and general location derived from it.
- Cookie identifiers used to keep your cart, your session and your preferences working.
Payment information
We never see or store your full card number. Card data goes directly to our payment processor over an encrypted connection. We receive only the last four digits, the card brand and an authorization result, which is what we need to match a payment to an order and to issue refunds.
How we use information
- To take payment, fill your order, ship it and tell you where it is.
- To answer questions, handle returns and process warranty claims.
- To confirm fitment and recommend the correct part for your vehicle or boat.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent orders and account takeovers.
- To improve the site, our product information and our search results.
- To send order and service messages, which are not promotional and cannot be turned off while an order is open.
- To send promotional email only if you opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
- To meet tax, accounting and legal record keeping obligations.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information and we do not rent mailing lists. We share only what a party needs to do its job for you:
- Shipping carriers and freight carriers, to deliver your order and to trace it if it goes missing.
- The warehouses that pick and pack your order, which receive your shipping address and the items ordered.
- Our payment processor and our fraud screening provider.
- Manufacturers, when a warranty claim requires your proof of purchase and contact details.
- Our ecommerce, email and analytics platforms, which process data on our behalf under contract.
- Law enforcement or a regulator when a valid legal request requires it.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep your cart and your logged in session working and cannot be turned off without breaking the site. Analytics cookies tell us which pages and products people actually use. Advertising cookies, where present, measure whether an ad led to a sale.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop checkout from working.
Your choices and your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to limit how it is used, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.
Email info@auralakes.com to make a request. We verify your identity against the order or account before we act, and we respond within 45 days. If we need longer we tell you why.
We keep order records for as long as tax and warranty rules require even after an account is closed. Deleting an account does not delete the transaction record of a completed sale.
Security
The site runs over encrypted connections. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No system is perfect, so use a strong password that you do not reuse, and tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date is shown at the top. Material changes are announced on this page before they take effect.

Do not sell or share my personal information
Residents of California and of other states with an equivalent law can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Use the opt out page and we will action the request, or write to info@auralakes.com with the word OPTOUT in the subject line.
